Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, a COVID Signpost has been included in preGP. It is an notification that will pick up if a patient types in a COVID-related symptom for an Appointment Reason while booking via the myGP app. A few COVID-related symptoms according to the NHS are:
- coughing
 - cough
 - fever
 - temperature
 - high temp
 - short of breath
 - shortness of breath
 - coronavirus
 - covid19
 - covid-19
 - flu
 - dry cough
 
If a COVID Signpost picks up, preGP will assign the following notification:
Patients would then have the option to click Learn More and be directed to the NHS.uk web site for further information, or choose Skip and keep the appointment booked in.
